Pre-orders are now live for The Sinking City 2 ahead of its August launch

If you’re a survival horror fan, you ought to be keeping a keen eye on Frogwares’ The Sinking City 2. Launching on 18th August across PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, this sequel ups its horror elements, playing much like a modern day Resident Evil. Though there’s still plenty of investigating to be done as well, as per most of Frogwares’ previous titles. And the good news is that pre-orders for The Sinking City 2 have just gone live.

Three versions of The Sinking City 2 are available. There’s the Standard Edition, of course, which is priced at £41.35/$49.99, but there’s also a Deluxe Edition which includes The Arkham Field Kit DLC prices at £45.45/$54.99, and a Premium Edition which includes The Arkham Field Kit and Holloway Manor DLC as well as 24-hour early access priced at £49.59/$59.99. All pre-orders also include the Chthonic Arsenal Pack DLC, which includes numerous mythical weapons.

“We’re launching at $49.99 because we want to be fair and give as many people as possible the chance to step into Arkham with us,” states Sergiy Oganesyan, Publishing Director at Frogwares. It’s a good move, as it certainly makes The Sinking City 2 accessible to more players. And judging by our hands-on time with a preview version of the game, it’s set to impress survival horror fans with its tense encounters and brain-teasing puzzles.

The PC specifications have also been released for The Sinking City 2, and you won’t need a monstrous PC to play it at low settings at least. You will need an SSD to entertain playing it, however, and if you want to get the most out of the experience you’ll need 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070Ti or better.
