The Curious Expedition Leaving Early Access

Roguelike exploration game The Curious Expedition is set to leave Steam Early Access and release fully on September 2. The German indie developers, Maschinen-Mensch, are both ex-Yager devs (Spec Ops: The Line) and have had their first indie release in Early Access since May last year.

Since that time The Curious Expedition has had 30 major content updates releasing every fortnight incorporating bug fixes, new features and inputting feedback from fans. In The Curious Expedition you play a famous explorer in the 19th century. Exploring procedurally generated regions you and your group of explorers attempt to survive and discover in hostile lands. Will you be friendly to the local natives? Will you steal from their ancient temples and ruins, risking anger and curses?

During its run in Early Access the game has received numerous awards and praises including “Best Indie Game” from a prestigious German outlet. Perhaps one of its best features is the absolutely stunning pixel art that draws you in to the atmosphere.

The Curious Expedition is available from September 2 on Steam, GOG and Humble Bundle for £10.99 with a 15% discount during the first week of sale.
