Kingdom Come: Deliverance shows off complex armour system

Upcoming medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance shows off its complex armour and weapons system in a new trailer.

The RPG, set in medieval Bohemia, and being developed by Warhorse Studios is aiming for realism in its upcoming release. The trailer, which shows off gameplay as well as real-life weapons testing, gives an insight into how the complex systems will work. With three seperate types of weapon damage and every character having four layers of armour and over thirty damage zones on them, damage is distributed incredibly accurately to how it would be in real life.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was set to release sometime this year but was delayed to 2017. Deliverance promises a highly interactive world with branching quest lines that promises emergent gameplay. Everything from the clothes to the castles to the in-game music is all based in real world history coming from the assistance of architects and historians.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is set to be released at some point in 2017 for PC. Warhorse Studios are also working on PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game which will release later. You can pre-order a copy here with the money going to the game’s ongoing Kickstarter.
