Shadow Warrior 2 launches today on GOG, Humble and Steam and its launch trailer is here to show you why its the best, most gory, and most 80’s thing around. In Flying Wild Hog’s usual style the trailer shows off characters both new and old.
The first Shadow Warrior, which released back in 2013, was itself a reboot of the classic 1997 original. The 2013 version was praised for its humour, old-school design and general fun-factor as you hacked, slashed and shot your way through various demon armies.
In a rather unsurprising move the Flying Wild Hog team have also made sure the web-address whowantssome[dot]wang re-directs to the Shadow Warrior 2 website. One of the sequel’s biggest features is the new 4-player co-op so you can hack ‘n’ slash your way through the title with friends.
Like the original, Shadow Warrior 2 will also be coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox One at a later date – some time early 2017.
Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
