Ubisoft reveals new Sci-fi game within Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs 2 releases tomorrow but early copies have already been sent out. As is the way nowadays, most of the game’s biggest secrets have already been revealed – and one of the most notorious is an entire new game.
During a mission quite early on, Marcus is sent to hack into and steal an E3 trailer from the in-game Ubisoft – very meta. And the teaser itself is very interesting – with people comparing it to Cowboy Bebop or Firefly. The teaser doesn’t reveal too much but it looks like it could be a space-western focusing on scavenging.
It’s very colourful and the soundtrack sounds great so whatever it is – if it even exists – could be pretty interesting. Of course, we could all be digging into it too much and Ubisoft just put it in as a joke. The only other confirmation is an ex-Ubisoft developer on NeoGAF: “Oh, huh, finally this is starting to get teased, knew very little about it just before I left Ubi over two years ago and never actually saw any in-game stuff. Interesting!”
He leads on to say, “Pretty sure it’s real, like I said, I only heard rumblings of a big space game as they keep stuff on tight lockdown even between studios, so my knowledge ends at that sadly.”
So, if real or not, it’s all very intriguing.
