The third season of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead – officially entitled ‘A New Frontier’ – just got its official launch trailer. The new series begins December 20, just one week after Batman: The Telltale Series is set to wrap things up.
The new series is set to be a soft-reboot of sorts – as shown with the subtitle – with both Clementine and a new character, Javier Garcia, taking center-stage. Clementine is now a couple of years older and, as always, in danger. And, as is expected from The Walking Dead, its not the zombies posing the threat, rather the humans – who, this time are named ‘The New Frontier’.
The new trailer gives us a quick look at The New Frontier and the damage they seem to be causing. Also turning up is a rather aptly-named character from the TV show itself – I wouldn’t know, I stopped watching a while back.
It’s also worthwhile to note that The Walking Dead: A New Frontier’s first episode will be in two parts – both releasing December 20. All in all, it looks like another classic Telltale experience: morally-questionable actions, unpleasant baddies and really janky animations.
Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
