Crime thriller game, Knee Deep, is coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox One in the coming weeks. The murder mystery, with a focus on characters, narrative and mystique, will release on PS4 on January 31 and a few days later, February 3, on Xbox One.
The title, set in three acts, originally began releasing on PC back in 2015 and has since been completed. Taking place in the backwater Florida town of Cypress Knee, you, as three seperate characters, investigate the apparent suicide of a local actor.
Developer, Prologue Games, promise dynamic storytelling with genuine choice and consequence. Players control Romana Teague, a cheeky blogger, a down-and-out local reporter, Jack Bellet and K.C. Gaddis, a cynical Private Investigator. Taking narrative and region-based cues from Twin Peaks and True Detective, “Knee Deep is about characters, storytelling, and the melodrama of swampland Florida.”
Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
