Dark Souls 3’s final DLC, The Ringed City, is set to launch next month and marks, what could be, the final piece of Dark Souls content ever. To celebrate, Bandai Namco have released a lengthy gameplay trailer showing off much from the upcoming expansion. Though, be warned, spoilers ahead.
It certainly look to be exciting too. Much of the adventure seems to be an eery descent into the crumbled ruins of both Lothric’s past and future – although, let’s be honest, this is Dark Souls lore, we’re not going to have a firm understanding until a while after it releases. Numerous haunting new enemies are also shown off; including a shrieking angel and flame-wielding knight.
All par for the course, then. For the Souls series final send-off, Bandai Namco are promising big things. Compared to the – mildly disappointing – Ashes of Ariandel, The Ringed City will have at least three bosses – the flaming, bat-gargoyle thing in this particular trailer being the first.
Dark Souls III: The Ringed City is set to release March 28 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One as part of the season pass, or seperately for £11.99
Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
