Destiny 2 Reset Guide: 20th February

Crimson Days are over in Destiny 2 and the Faction leaders have returned. Pledge allegiance once again for round two of this season’s Faction Rally.

Here’s what’s in store this week in Destiny 2.

Faction Rally

As per usual, your pledge to one of the three Factions allows you to purchase their weapon for 10,000 Glimmer during Victory Week, if that Faction is victorious. Otherwise, it’s a heft 50,000. There’s two pulse rifles and a scout rifle this week, and here’s the breakdown:

NEW MONARCHY

Perks: Three Sights, Accurized Rounds, High-Caliber Rounds, Rampage

DEAD ORBIT

Perks: Three scopes, Alloy Magazine, Steady Rounds, Under Pressure

FUTURE WAR CULT

Perks: Three scopes, Armor-Piercing Rounds, Extended Mag, Snapshot Sights

Pick your poison, put in your work, and get ready for Victory Week next Tuesday. Now we’ll cover the usual stuff.

Powerful Engrams

Last week, I thought to myself there will probably be six of these to get come next Tuesday. I was right. Somehow.

  • Leviathan Raid or Raid Lair Completion
  • Call to Arms (Crucible Matches)
  • Flashpoint: Public Events, Cabal Conqueror and Vex Defender kills on Mercury
  • 3 Heroic Strikes
  • Clan XP through Crucible, World Activities, Raids, and Strikes
  • Nightfall Completion

That’s it. Case closed. Off now to Nessus, for the Nightfall Strike.

Nightfall Strike

Everybody’s favourite Minotaur is back and ready to kneel before your Light. Traverse the beautiful landscape of Nessus and lay waste to the Vex and Cabal you encounter. Here are your modifiers:

  • Momentum: Health and shield regeneration stop when not in motion, sprinting will hasten the regeneration.
  • Timewarp: Rings: Time rings appear during your mission. Passing through them extends the mission timer.

As we’ve mentioned before, this Strike has a healthy mix of passable moments and heavy fighting. Might not be a bad idea to start getting used to fighting all your battles, with the upcoming changes to Nightfall scoring and what not. I usually use Arcstrider for the majority of the Strike, then switch over to my trusty Celestial Nighthawk when the time is right. I’d opt for power over crowd control here, with a healthy split between your Fireteam. Always makes things easier when you can complement one another.

That’s all there is this week in Destiny 2. Get out there and grind out this Faction Rally and gather that gear you missed the first time around. See you in the Tower, Guardians!
