Revealed during Sony’s VR section at their E3 2016 press conference was Farpoint: “A new virtual reality shooter set in a hostile world”.
Developed by Impulse Gear, Farpoint is a PS VR Exclusive, and it’s looking pretty good. Set on what appears to be an inhospitable planet you are “on a mission to pick up scientists studying an anomaly near Jupiter, a rupture from the anomaly transports the player and scientists to an unknown alien world.”Â
It looks really impressive for Playstation VR, but I really don’t want to come face to face with that giant spider of all things related to death. There is no release date for Farpoint as of yet but Playstation VR is coming on October 13th.
For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in.
