Another impressive looking VR game announced at Sony’s E3 press conference is coming to Playstation VR. This time, Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission.

Criterion Games are teaming up with Dice for Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission exclusive to Playstation VR later this year. It is quite a mouthful of a title isn’t it?

“Virtual reality brings us one step closer to realising this amazing dream of piloting an X-wing in space. With this incredible new platform, you will be instantaneously transported from the comforts of your living room to an X-Wing cockpit in space. And with the artists at Criterion and DICE meticulously crafting every authentic detail, the experience feels more real than you can imagine.”

Currently the game has no set release date but will be coming later this year perhaps along with Playstation VR which is out October 13th.

X-Wing VR Mission will be free for all owners of Star Wars Battlefront on PS4.

For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in video games. Eventually his love/hate relationship with gaming drew him to write about the industry he is passionate about. When he's not gaming, you'll most likely find Jack watching films.
