The Witcher’s Gwent Coming as Standalone Game

The wonderful Gwent from The Witcher 3 is coming as a standalone game.

Definitely wanted by the community, CD Projekt Red have announced a standalone Gwent game. Interestingly it will have a single player campaign and will come with crossplay allowing players to play each other across console and PC. You can register for the beta now over at the official website.

“GWENT will be available at release for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4, GWENT is a free to play game that puts you, not your cards, in the center of the action.”

It looks to have had a complete overhaul of how it looks to what it does in The Witcher 3 which you can see in the trailer that came with the announcement.

For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in video games. Eventually his love/hate relationship with gaming drew him to write about the industry he is passionate about. When he's not gaming, you'll most likely find Jack watching films.
