Firewatch coming to Xbox One later this month

Campo Santo’s Firewatch will be arriving on Xbox One September 21. The adventure game where you play as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness released earlier this year in February for PC and PS4. The Xbox One edition will also come with some extra goodies for anyone who purchases – which will be available to all owners on PS4 and PC.
Firewatch follows the story of Henry, a fire lookout soon after the infamous Yellowstone fires of 1988. In this short and beautiful journey – which we reviewed earlier this year – you explore the wilderness, taking on the role of a lookout while chatting to a woman named Delilah. While there isn’t complete freedom in choice (there is only one ending) the choices you make, both through actions and dialogue, affect your relationship with Delilah. There is, also, some mystery elements to the game, which I will not spoil. Either way, Firewatch is a game to keep an eye on if you are an Xbox One owner and have not tried out one of the better games from earlier this year.
Releasing alongside the Xbox One edition is the “Firewatch Audio Tour” and a “Free-Roam” mode. Free-roam allows you to do just that, roam freely around the stunning world of the Shoshone National Forest with a day/night cycle. Campo Santo also promise that there are secrets to be found in this mode.
The Audio Tour is described as “one part scavenger hunt, one part museum tour, one part game dev workshop, mixed with a dash of inside Campo Santo goofs.” More information on what exactly this is will be revealed tomorrow.
The Xbox One version of Firewatch will be available on September 21. There is no current information on pricing but will approximately cost £14.99.
