Beyond Good & Evil is free next week with Ubi30

In accordance with earlier reports that Beyond Good & Evil will be receiving a sequel, Ubisoft revealed that the original cult classic will be available for free next week. Ubisoft’s 30th anniversary celebration’s continue – entitled Ubi30 – and have been giving out a free game every month on Uplay.

This month’s offering, Ivory Tower’s racer The Crew is still available for free until October 12 when the promotion will switch over to Beyond Good & Evil. The title – which has since become a cult classic – originally released back in 2003 for PC, PS2, the original Xbox and the Gamecube.

While the game did receive much praise at launch, Beyond Good & Evil failed commercially and a sequel has never been confirmed – until today. If you have never played the title and the news of an apparent sequel has got your attention, then now is a perfect opportunity to try it out – almost like Ubisoft planned it all.

From October 12 you can claim your free copy of Beyond Good & Evil over at the Ubisoft website. Until then, you still have time to claim The Crew.
