Assassin’s Creed 3 is Free in December Thanks to Ubi30

The final free offering with Ubisoft’s Ubi30 celebration is Assassin’s Creed 3. The game will be free on Uplay from 7th December. Since June, the French company have been celebrating their thirty-year anniversary with a free game every month to their fans.
This month’s game, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, is still available to be claimed until the offering switches over next week. Ubisoft seem to be in the giveaway mood too. Just last week, the developer and publisher began their “30 Days of Giveaways” in celebration of, you guessed it, Christmas – yay. You can find more information on that particular offering here.
Originally released back in 2012, Assassin’s Creed 3 began a new-line of Assassin’s Creed games. Ezio’s story was over, and in stepped the ever-charismatic and likeable Connor – or properly Ratonhnhaké:ton. Although, in actual fact, Connor was a rather dull character – perhaps indicative of what the series became.
Assassin’s Creed 3 is in no way a bad game however; new parkour mechanics were introduced, the Native American atmosphere was interesting and the Homestead was undoubtedly great. It also introduced the ship mechanics, which would go on to become the basis of possibly the best pirate game ever – just not so much the best Assassin game ever.
From 7th December you can claim your free copy of Assassin’s Creed 3 over at the Ubisoft website. Until then, you still have time to claim Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
