Telltale’s new Marvel game is Guardians of the Galaxy

ByRuaraidh Dempster 14 November 2016

Remember all the way back in April 2015 when it was revealed Marvel and Telltale were teaming up? Well, we finally know what it is: Telltale’s next new series will be based on Guardians of the Galaxy.

It’s not an official announcement; but due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes – where a voice-actors union is negotiating for better wages and working conditions – some future projects have slipped through the net. This includes “Blue Harvest”, a working title for Guardians of the Galaxy – A Video Game.

Of course this isn’t Telltale Games’ next series. Also listed is The Walking Dead: Season 3, which we already know about and is releasing sometime this month.

Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be releasing sometime in 2017 – presumably alongside the movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, scheduled for April. The series will most likely get its reveal at December’s The Game Awards, where Telltale have announced previous titles. Meanwhile, we are mid-way through Batman: The Telltale Series, which just has its third episode drop last month.

Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
