Hopiko released in 2015 for Android and iOS devices and was ported over to Playstation 4 and Xbox One late last year. Now, after a little wait, the intense, incredibly quick platformer will be available on Steam.
Developed by British studio, Laser Dog Games, HoPiKo sends you out to save gaming after a worldwide virus destroyed all hardware. It’s fast, twitch-based and will test your muscle-memory to the extreme with a minimalist control scheme – that means a controller may be preferred.
We reviewed the game when it released on PS4 last October with Gammon calling it, “a platformer of a new generation; a game that is smart and exciting that any platformer fan is sure to love”. Hopiko also comes with a incredibly suting and wonderful soundtrack: “the perfect accompaniment to the game”. He gave it an 8/10.
Hopiko is available on Steam from January 6. The title is also available on PS4, Xbox One, iOS and Android.
Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
