Destiny 2 Officially Announced After Poster Leak

There has been rumblings of Destiny 2 for a while now – reports from various outlets, leaks here and there, as well as a rather hopeful looking poster last week. Yesterday, Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 is indeed real but not much else.

It seems, like with Middle-Earth: Shadow of War last month, the developers have been forced to announce the game a little early. Unlike Monolith however, Bungie doesn’t seem set to show off any trailers or gameplay just yet. According to sources; a full reveal is expected on Thursday, 30th March.

Various leaks and reports from earlier in the year place Destiny 2 at an Autumn 2017 release date – with an expected release on PC. It was also noted that, contrary to the original Destiny’s ’10-year plan’, character progress would not be carrying through, instead opting for a fresh start. The new title will focus more heavily on story, characters and accessibility.

Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
