On the Codemasters blog today we were treated to a Career Trailer for F1 2017. Expect classic cars, stats, challenges, and more.
During career mode’s F1 season, players will be able to join invitational events with the opportunity to drive 12 classic F1 cars. It’s here in F1 2017 that you’ll be doing pursuit, checkpoint and time attack challenges.
Creative Director Lee Mather told the blog team: “The Career Mode was a big hit last year and we are building on those incredibly strong foundations to create an even deeper, more rounded experience for F1 2017. We have added female driver avatars, new paddock locations and a new character as well as greatly increasing the scope for developing your team and car. All of this, we feel, combined with the addition of the iconic classic cars this year, means that F1 2017 offers gamers the ultimate F1 experience yet.”
Career mode offers 115 possible research and development upgrades (that’s a lot), new practice programmes, the Monaco street circuit at night, and an increased importance to the reliability of your car’s engine and gearbox.
For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in video games. Eventually his love/hate relationship with gaming drew him to write about the industry he is passionate about. When he's not gaming, you'll most likely find Jack watching films.
