Sonic Mania On PC Has Been Delayed

ByJack Bampfield 11 August 201711 August 2017

Sonic Mania was originally due to release on 15th August, unfortunately, it has suffered a delay, but thankfully not for too long.

From a Sonic livestream today from the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel players were told that the PC version of Sonic Mania was delayed – the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions are still on course for 15th August.

In a tweet a letter from the team explains why they want to spend some extra time polishing the PC version. They’re pushing it back for a reason, and that two weeks is clearly what they need for the PC version to be where they want it.

It’s OK PC Sonic fans it’s just two weeks. It’s just two weeks away (again). Don’t panic, you got this. Just play Sonic 06 again…too far?

For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in video games. Eventually his love/hate relationship with gaming drew him to write about the industry he is passionate about. When he's not gaming, you'll most likely find Jack watching films.
