We Happy Few Now Has a Full Launch Date

Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few had a very successful showing at E3 last year creating a lot of anticipation. Having been in Early Access since last July, a release date has finally been revealed as 13th April 2018.

We Happy Few revolves around an alternate 1950s England in a town called Wellington Wells; here citizens take a drug, Joy, to conform and stay happy. Seeing that trailer at E3 had me fascinated by in this 1950s England from the outset. Compulsion Games have previously brought us Contrast – a game I recommend playing.

We Happy Few will come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Upon the announcement of the release date the price of the game rose on Steam to an unconventional price of £38.24/$50.99. This announcement also comes with a trailer on the Gearbox Software YouTube channel showing that Gearbox Publishing will publish the game.

And if you’ve seen any other clips from this game then this new trailer is what you’d expect: creepy, surreal, and fascinating to look at.

The Collector’s Set will contain a replica bobby mask and stand, a “you look smashing” sign lamp, an Uncle Jack (not me) alarm clock, the soundtrack on vinyl, a “how to be happy” guide book, warning sign stickers, and propaganda posters.

We Happy Few will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 13th April 2018.
