Here’s When You Can Play Mario Tennis Aces Pre-Launch Online Tournament

Surely not! A tennis game!?! Finally!

I love tennis games, but not many are made anymore. Top Spin disappeared, Virtual Tennis evaporated. Sure, Mario Tennis Aces isn’t an attempt at realistic tennis, but I’m excited about it all the same.

Similarly to ARMS, Nintendo revealed it would have a weekend where Mario Tennis Aces would be playable in an online tournament. And lo and behold, that’s today!

You can find Mario Tennis Ace demo schedule below:

EU: Friday 1st June (15:00 UK time) – Sunday 3rd June (23:59 UK time).

US: Friday 1st June (18:00 PT) – Sunday 3rd June (23:50 PT).

You can download the demo or read more information from the Nintendo website here.

Mario Tennis Aces launches fully on 22nd June. It brings a story mode for the first time since the Game Boy Advance’s Mario Tennis. There are various ways to play with four players on the court thanks to the Switch’s various methods of play. 15 playable characters will be in Mario Tennis Aces, each with their own styles and characteristics.

Maybe I’ll see you on the court. I’ll be the one flailing my arms around thanks to Swing mode, which allows you to use the Joy-Con as a tennis racket.

For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in video games. Eventually his love/hate relationship with gaming drew him to write about the industry he is passionate about. When he's not gaming, you'll most likely find Jack watching films.
