80s-Inspired Adventure Crossing Souls is Now Available on Switch

Taking inspiration from a whole load of stuff from the 1980s, we loved Crossing Souls when it released on PS4 and PC in February earlier this year.

In fact, when we reviewed it, we gave it a coveted 10/10. If I’m not mistaken, aside from God of War (d’uh), that’s the only 10 we’ve given this year. That’s some pretty good going.

Today, Crossing Souls is available on Nintendo Switch. So if you prefer to game on the go, now’s the perfect time to pick up the game. It’s available on the eShop for £13.49/$14.99.

It tells the story of a group of high school kids trying to make the most of their summer break. Looking for an adventure, they somehow end up in the middle of a supernatural event that is set to change everything in their small town – and their lives. With whiffs of the likes of Stand By Me and The GooniesCrossing Souls is dripping with 80s nostalgia, and backs in many references to TV, video games and movies of the era.

Here’s what Robert had to say about the game in his review:

Crossing Souls has everything you could possibly want from an adventure game. Well-polished controls, a stunning art style, fun and varied gameplay, and an emotional yet intriguing narrative all come together to make Crossing Souls one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in a long while. It’s simply perfect.”

Well, you can’t say fairer than that. We’ll have more coverage of the Nintendo Switch version soon. For now, head on over to the eShop and pick it up for yourself.
