Since ONRUSH, the competitive racing game from Codemasters, launched in June, there’s been a placeholder for “Ranked Mode” on the main menu. Today, that placeholder will no longer say “coming soon”.
As confirmed by a tweet sent out by Koch Media UK, the publisher of ONRUSH, Ranked Mode will be available from today, with an official season starting in two weeks, on 27th August.

Before the official Summer Slam starts, we’ll have two weeks of ‘Pre-Season’. From today, it’s essentially a training period to get players used to how ranked mode works. There will be rewards, which include in-game credits, XP bonuses and unique Tombstones – the things that drop on the map when you’ve been wrecked.
To get started in Ranked Mode, you’ll take part in a number of “placement” races that will determine how good you are, and what rank you’ll be placed in. There are four ranks – Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Presumably, the better you perform in the placement races, the higher the rank grouping you’ll be placed in.
Once the Summer Slam season starts, which will run for eight weeks, you’ll be able to earn unique rewards including new character outfits, new skins for your vehicles, and new celebration animations.
If you’ve already got ONRUSH, Ranked Mode will be a free update that will be available on both PS4 and Xbox One today.
