A New Life is Strange Book Lets Us Delve Back into the Life of Max

Life is Strange 2’s trailer revealed new characters, a new setting, and new story, but there was no Max.

Of course, fans of the franchise will know that Dontnod Entertainment intended for Life is Strange 2 to feature brand new protagonists, and to leave Max’s story behind. But, in a surprise announcement, Life is Strange’s Twitter revealed that they’ll be collaborating with Titan Books for Life is Strange: Welcome to Blackwell Academy.

Written by Matt Forbeck, Life is Strange: Welcome to Blackwell Academy will take the form of a student guide to Blackwell Academy and Arcadia Bay. You can expect to find information on the courses available (watch out for some of those teachers), campus life, facilities and services available.

But, of course, it’s not a real Life is Strange text unless it delves into the life of its protagonists. And Life is Strange: Welcome to Blackwell Academy will do just that. This is not just any copy of the student guide: it’s Max’s copy! Expect notes, doodles, graffiti and pictures from the first Life is Strange‘s lead protagonist. Apparently Max even shared her student guide, as other characters (including Chloe, of course) have also written on the book.

Life is Strange: Welcome to Blackwell Academy will release on 9th of October, available for £29.99 ($39.99). Life really has felt strange without Max’s musings, but Life is Strange: Welcome to Blackwell Academy looks set to fix that!

I wonder what notes Max made during her Photography Class?
