Chris Hemsworth to Play Hulk Hogan in Netflix Biopic

No one (apparently including Chris Hemsworth) knows whether Chris Hemsworth is really done playing Thor when his Marvel contract expires with Avengers: Endgame.

However, he apparently can’t get enough of playing blonde guys with ridiculous muscles – according to The Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth has signed up to play Hulk Hogan in a biopic directed by Todd Phillips (the guy behind The Hangover and the upcoming Joaquin Phoenix-starring Joker film).

Hulk Hogan is on board as executive producer and the new film is being described as an origin story of Hulkamania, so it’s probably going to leave out all the stuff that should really make a Hulk Hogan biopic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal is “in the midst of closing” and the film is in its early stages with no set release date. It’s already feeling like it’s going to be Hulk Hogan propaganda more than anything else, but I guess anything else would have never got off the ground. Just please make it funny at the very least.

After first discovering gaming on a second-hand Sinclair Spectrum, Alec quickly moved onto Gameboys and PlayStations. It was Sony’s little wonder box that really kickstarted his passion though and he’s been a PS man ever since. He loves games with strong stories and loses a ridiculous number of hours every year trying to revive Sheffield United’s glory days on FIFA.
