Design an In-Game Droid for Main Assembly Fan Competition

Main Assembly

Team 17 is hosting a competition for three fans to have their robot designs feature in the creative mechanical sandbox game Main Assembly.

Main Assembly, the freeform engineering creation toy from Bad Yolk Games, impressed us here at GameSpew when we previewed is last month; thanks to its scope, potential and ability to strap twenty rockets to a plank of wood and see what happens.

Publisher Team 17 has just announced an exciting competition for you creative types out there, offering the chance for you to design a droid and have it feature in the game. Artists will just need to draw up a cosmetic design for a robot and submit it on social media.

On Instagram and Twitter, just post your pic and tag the Bad Yolk Games account (@BadYolkGames on both platforms) and use the hastag #MACommunityCreationCompetition. You can also head over to the Main Assembly Discord and post your submission in the Competition Channel.

The competition closes on March 16th at 11am, after which 10 finalists will be listed on the official Discord server, where fans can vote for their three favourite designs to feature in the game. No matter if you’re one of the lucky three, all finalists will recieve some special goodies from Team 17.

To learn more about the game, you can check out the release trailer below, or head to the Main Assembly Steam Store page.

"Cynical", "sarcastic" and "irritable" are just some of the words that have been used to describe Diggy B, the other words usually being four letters long and incredibly rude. He can normally be found with a controller in his hands and strives to provide acerbic rants on all things gaming, from Gears of War to Candy Crush.
