Animal Crossing: New Horizons has taken over and many of us can’t wait to add our friends so we can share gifts with each other. And it’s very easy to do so. You can’t send gifts to your friends immediately, however; it needs to be at least your second day playing, because that’s the day when the Dodo Airport unlocks.
After heading down to the airport, you’ll want to walk over to the letter stand on the right side of the room. Press ‘A’ to interact with it. Choose your stationary and type up your message just the way you like, but before you hit the send button, you’ll want to attach a gift. Click the icon that looks like a present, and you’ll be shown your inventory. Choose the item you want to send, and select it. It’ll now be attached to the letter.
Unfortunately, you can’t send multiple items (unless it is something like fruit which groups together) and you can only send your friends two letters a day, so choose your gifts carefully.
You can also give your friends gifts by visiting each other’s islands. When you’re on the same island, simply drop items from your inventory and allow your friend to pick them up. Bear in mind if the island is open to more people, anyone who is currently there will be able to pick up what you drop.
