Now available on PC after being exclusive to PlayStation platforms for a number of years, God of War can be appreciated by yet more players.
An epic action adventure game, God of War revitalises the series with a new setting, revamped combat and an emotionally-charged story that will have you hooked from beginning to end. But if you’re thinking of playing it, you might be wondering if it has any co-op or competitive multiplayer features.
As Kratos journeys with his son, Atreus, for pretty much the entirety of God of War, you might be surprised to hear that there are no co-op features to be found in it whatsoever. And so it perhaps shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that there are no competitive multiplayer elements to be found, either. God of War is a strictly single-player game, focusing solely on offering a brilliant single-player campaign that takes tens of hours to complete.
With a combat system so good, it is a shame that God of War doesn’t feature any multiplayer modes though. Fun fact: despite many entries, only one God War game has actually featured multiplayer – 2013’s God of War: Ascension for PS3. It’s probably going to stay that way, too; the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok is also unlikely to feature co-op or competitive multiplayer modes.
