Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCG Has a New Training Tool

Genshin Impact Genius Invocation TCG

Trying to get your head around Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCG? The game’s new Card Plaza should help.

If you’re wondering what Genius Invokation is – maybe you’re a Genshin Impact player whose managed to miss it – it’s essentially the game’s version of Gwent. Like The Witcher 3, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and plenty of other RPGs, Genshin Impact has its own in-game card game.

And yes, it is just in-game. Surprisingly, there’s no real-world version of Genius Invokation, though given Genshin Impact’s popularity it may just be a matter of time. However, developer developer and publisher miHoYo has now made it a little easier to get into with the Card Plaza.

This in-game feature will not only teach you about each card, it’ll also let you browse other people’s decks. That latter feature might sound like cheating, but you can only browse decks that have been willingly shared. That, in turn, should give you a better idea of what it takes to win.

So, if you’ve got a really killer deck you can keep it to yourself or, provided you’ve hit player level 6, you can share it. You can find out more about the new Genius Invokation TCG Card Plaza feature from Genshin Impact’s official site.

As for Genshin Impact itself, it’s available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS. You don’t have to immerse yourself in the world of card-battling, you can happily roam the Breath of the Wild-style land, failing shamefully to climb a cliff. And if you happen to be in Paris, why not check out the official exhibition?

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
