How to Complete In-Isa Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Do you need help completing the In-Isa Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Hopefully we can help.

The In-Isa Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom is one of the first you’ll complete when you first get dropped into the game. By this point, you should have unlocked the Ultrahand ability, and as you enter In-Isa you’ll be granted a new skill: Fuse. You’ll need to use this to solve most of the puzzles in In-Isa, so acquaint yourself with it. It allows you to fuse an item in the environment to a piece of your equipment. To use it, hold down L, then use the right stick to select ‘Fuse’.

In the first room of the shrine, you’ll find a claymore sword by the door. Pick it up, and equip it (hold right on the d-pad, then use the right stick to move along to select it). Press L to use fuse, and move over to the boulders at the other side of the room. When the boulder turns green, select the piece of equipment (i.e. the Claymore) you want to fuse with it via the on-screen prompt. Ta-da: you now have a boulder hammer! Use this (press Y) to hit down the big stone door that’s blocking your path.

In the next room, turn to the right and you’ll see a line of fire fruit trees. Take the fire fruit off the trees and add them to your inventory. For the next section, you’ll need a bow and arrow. Don’t worry if you don’t have one: you’ll find them laying on the floor nearby. You need to turn your arrows into flaming arrows using the fire fruit.

So, first equip your bow by holding ZL and RL. Next, hold ‘up’ on the d-pad: this will bring up a menu of your items. Use the right stick to navigate to the fire fruit. Aim your target at the wooden platform attached to the wall in front of where you’re stood, and fire. A chest will fall down, and you’ll find a key in it. Take it, and use it to open the green door around the corner.

In the next room, you’ve got a fight with an enemy equipped with a boulder hammer and a bow and arrow. You can take them down however you see fit, but we found it easiest to keep a distance: one swing with the boulder hammer, and you’ll be seeing a ‘Game Over’ screen. We used fire fruit arrows to damage them at a safe distance. Four or five arrows will be enough to defeat them. Once they’re dead, that’s it: pass through to the next room, and you’ve complete the In-Isa Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
