How to Get More Logs in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Have you run out of crafting materials and wondering how to get more logs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Here’s what you need to know.

You’ve spent ages making a wonderful little raft, and you’ve popped it into the water. Before you’ve managed to jump onto the back of it, however, it’s floated away. Now it’s out of reach, you can’t swim to it without running out of stamina, and you’re out of materials. Bugger. So what do you do? How do you get more logs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Thankfully, all is not lost. If you’ve lost your raft, or another contraption, getting new materials to make a new one isn’t difficult. At least, getting logs isn’t. See the trees all around you? You can chop them down to make logs.

To get logs in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to equip an axe as a weapon. To change your weapon, press the right button on the d-pad, then use the right stick to navigate to an axe. Now, head to a tree and attack it with your standard attack button (Y). After a few swings, the tree will be gone – and you’ll be left with a log.

Chop down a few trees, and you’ll have a few logs. They can now be attached together using Ultrahand, and you can make a new raft/float/whatever you were making.
