How to Access A Rift in Time Content in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally out of Early Access – and with its full launch comes new content: A Rift in Time. But how do you access it?

If you’ve been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley since it first launched in September 2022 like us, there’s a very good chance you’ll have done everything you need to do to access the content in A Rift in Time. It’s likely that when you’ve updated the game, you’ll immediately be greeted by Jafar, who’ll lead you into ‘The Port of Many Worlds‘ quest – a quest you need to complete in order to get to the new island that A Rift in Time brings.

But if you’re fairly new to Disney Dreamlight Valley, A Rift in Time’s content won’t be immediately available. You’ll need to complete a certain number of story quests first.

Here’s what you’ll need to complete:

• The Dream Castle (Merlin’s quest)
• Making Cents of Things (Scrooge’s quest)
• Fishing Expedition (Goofy’s quest)
• Scrooge McDuck’s Grand Re-opening (Scrooge’s quest)

Once you’ve completed those four missions, you can head over to the Plaza – the main square – in Dreamlight Valley, where you’ll find a message from Jafar. That will lead you into the Port of Many Worlds quest, and you can begin your journey to the expansion’s content.

We’d recommend doing as much of Dreamlight Valley’s main content as possible before jumping into the DLC, though. If you’re new to the game, there’s so much to discover and it’s worth exploring everywhere, unlocking everything you can and meeting all the new villagers.
