Naughty Dog’s next game is Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
We’ve been wondering what Naughty Dog is working on for a while now. After all, The Last of Us Part II was its last game, released back in 2020. And last night at The Game Awards all was revealed. Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is the studio’s next game, and judging by the trailer it’s going to be out of this world.
In Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, players are put in control of new protagonist Jordan A. Mun. The main character, Jordan, is a bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempira – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago. Aiming to be the first person to leave its orbit, she’s going to have to use all of her skills and cunning if she hopes to achieve that goal.
Jordan is played by Tati Gabrielle, who you might be familiar with if you’ve watched the film adaptation of Uncharted or you’re a fan of the Netflix series You.
Other than that, Naughty Dog is keeping its cards close to its chest in terms of story. The studio claims its narrative goals are only rivalled by its gameplay ambitions, and that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will have the deepest gameplay in Naughty Dog history.
