Has Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout series left you itching to explore New Vegas? Then you’ll be happy to hear that the game it’s based on, Fallout: New Vegas, is a ridiculous £0.89/$0.99 in Steam’s Spring Sale.

And if you already if you have Fallout: New Vegas? Why not gift a copy and spread the gospel of The Courier? You can’t consider yourself a true Fallout fan until Chandler from Friends has shot you in the head and you’ve been stung to death by gaming’s most irritating insects.

Okay, maybe we’re being a little facetious there, but Fallout: New Vegas really is a fantastic game. It’s a crying shame that Obsidian, which developed the game in co-operation with Bethesda, has never been called to make a sequel.

What makes Fallout: New Vegas so great? Too many things to list here, if we’re honest. But the game’s biggest hook, for us, is your raison d’être – revenge. We love Fallout 4 but, for all its positives, we never gave a hoot about Shaun.

Running a raider gang? Absolutely. Kicking ass with a French robot in tow? Count us in. But you can’t just point us at some digital baby and tell us to care. However, the moment Benny (played by the late Matthew Perry) put is in the ground in New Vegas, we were determined to hunt him to the ends of the wasteland.

Throw in some fuzzy moral choices, some of which have seriously unexpected consequences, and a warped version of Las Vegas, and you’ve got the best 3D Fallout by far. And, published in 2010, its specs are so undemanding that it should work on virtually any PC.

Fallout: New Vegas is available now on Steam, priced at £0.89/$0.99 for the base version or £3.99/$4.99 for the Ultimate Edition, complete with all DLC. The deal ends this 26th March.
