Warner Bros. has finally confirmed the rumours of an incoming remaster to the Batman Arkham series for PS4 and Xbox One.

Along with a new trailer, Warner Bros. has announced Batman: Return to Arkham; a remaster of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City for PS4 and Xbox One.

Batman: Return to Arkham is “visually enhanced and recreated”, so we can expect better graphics in line with current gen, and it will also come with all the DLC ever released for the two included games.

Interestingly, Arkham Origins has not been included with this remaster; most likely as it was not developed by Rocksteady but by WB Montreal. The remaster is not being handled by Rocksteady themselves but by Virtuos. Batman: Return to Arkham also does not appear to be coming to PC.

For Jack, it all started with the PS1. After years spent playing against AI, video games moved online, so Jack did too. As the industry grew, he followed, treating himself to a diverse array of genres. Now enjoying well-written RPGs the most, he looks for stories he can engross himself in. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in video games. Eventually his love/hate relationship with gaming drew him to write about the industry he is passionate about. When he's not gaming, you'll most likely find Jack watching films.
