Quantum Break Delayed by two weeks on Steam

Remedy Entertainment’s TV show/video game mash-up Quantum Break has been delayed two weeks on Steam. Originally meant to arrive on September 14, the time-manipulating shooter will now be available September 29. Remedy have stated this is due to, rather humorously, needing more time.
From the sounds of it though, the Steam version of Quantum Break is in fact ready to launch with the delay being caused by the “Timeless Collector’s Edition.” The special edition of the game will be available in retail and require a one-time Steam verification. It comes with a “Making of” Blu-Ray, a “Making of” Book, two posters, the game’s soundtrack on CD and a quickstart guide. The reasoning for the delay behind this edition is for “additional time required for mastering and manufacturing the Quantum Break – Timeless Collector’s Edition for retail.”
Quantum Break is of course already available on PC, if you have Windows 10 and access it through the Windows 10 store. Although the Windows 10 version has been heavily criticized due to poor performance on both NVIDIA and AMD drivers, UWP limits and incredibly odd fps limits. And while there have been patches attempting to fix the current PC version, problems still remain. Whether the Steam version will fare any better we will have to wait and see – although as this delay seems to only affect the retail special edition it is presumable to believe everything is fine behind the scenes.
The Steam and retail versions of Quantum Break should be available on September 29. You can read our review of the Xbox One version here.
