Hitman getting free Christmas DLC in support of cancer research

If somehow hadn’t yet realised from all the adverts and sales; it’s Christmas! Well, in another two or so weeks. What better to celebrate this festive time than free DLC for this year’s best game involving a barcode.
As part of December’s content, Hitman will be getting a free “Holiday Hoarders” mission. The best part – even better than being able to dress Agent 47 up as Santa – is, while free, the mission is in support of the World Cancer Research Fund. IO Interactive state that while “a donation is not required,” all contributions of any amount are deeply appreciated. If you are feeling generous in the most generous time of the year, you can find out more about the Charity and donate here.
The mission itself releases on December 13 and is a festive overhaul of the Paris map used in Episode 1: The Showstopper. You can see the full lineup of Hitman content coming this December – with at least one mission every week – over on the IO Interactive blog. This week, you can look forward to the “Master Sniper” Challenge Pack which comes with five missions set in Sapienza.
If you were one of those waiting for Hitman’s full season to finish before deciding whether or not to pick it up, now is a great time to start looking – with all those sales and all. You can see our review of the full season over here where Rich described how it “has successfully managed to take the series back to its roots with style, making it a must-have for stealth fans yet to savour its delights”
