As we pointed out in our review, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a visually stunning game.
It’s a lot of things, but its visual beauty is one that’s most instantly noticeable. The detail in the game – both its locations and its characters – is practically unrivalled. And playing on Xbox One X, the entire world is simply breathtaking.
It’s a good job really, because spending sixty hours in the same game – and that’s just to complete the main story – is no small ask. You want the world you’re in to be as beautiful and as captivating as it possibly can be. And thankfully, Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t disappoint. Not even close. Screenshots don’t quite do it justice, but here are a few that we captured during our time with the game over the past week. Don’t worry – they’re spoiler free, too. Enjoy.

She'll give just about anything a go, but she's got a particular soft spot for indie adventures, roguelikes and puzzle games. If she's not gaming, she's probably got her nose in a book, and you can find her bookish musings on her blog at What The Book. She's also freelanced in several places, writes about Lego at That Brick Site, and is constantly thinking about new projects she'll undoubtedly quickly abandon.
