Ancient Greece is full of mysteries and secrets, and so is the gameplay within Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. There’s many hidden steps to success: from easy ways to make drachmae, to simple naval combat techniques.
And, thankfully, there’s a simple method to success with forts too. At first, the sheer amount of enemies can be daunting, but Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has a very straightforward ‘check-pointing’ system which makes forts so much easier.
When you enter a fort you’ll notice that your map changes from yellow to red. This indicates that you’re in a high danger area. It’s always best to approach these areas using stealth and assassination techniques. Stay out of sight for as long as possible. But, that’s not all…
When attacking a fort, it’s possible to exit the ‘red zone’ and quick save your game. This means that you can take out the easier to reach enemies, and then quick save, as a safety net, and then challenge the more difficult enemies.
If you die, or fail the quest, you can start over from your quick save point, meaning you don’t lose all your progress.
Follow this technique and each formidable fort can be broken down into manageable sections.
