The Trials of Mana remake arrives this April, and a new trailer from Square Enix introduces us to two more of the game’s six playable characters.
Here at GameSpew we described the original Trials of Mana as “easily the best in the series” when we reviewed the Collection of Mana for Nintendo Switch last year; so we can’t wait to see how the upcoming remake improves on Square Enix’s classic RPG.
The latest trailer introduces Kevin, a ferocious beastman and heir to the Beast Kingdom; as well as Charlotte, the timid granddaughter of Wendel’s Priest of Light.
We’ve already seen a spotlight video for rebellious princess Angela and skilled swordsman Duran, and I find one of the best things about these trailers is getting to see the new character designs, 3D graphics and modern gameplay.
A trailer to showcase Hawkeye and Riesz, the final two playable characters, will be dropping some time in the near future, so be sure to keep your eye out for that.
Trials of Mana is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 24th. Check out the new character spotlight trailer below, or head over to the game’s official website for more information.
