Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Season 6 has begun, adding the new Karakin map, breach points, sticky bombs and a whole lot more to the PUBG experience.
Update 6.1 is now live on the Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds PC servers, and will be coming to consoles on January 30th. The new island, Karakin, is much smaller than PUBG‘s other maps, measuring at just 2×2 km in size. This is designed to create more intense and high-tension scenarios with action happening much more frequently.
The North African island also has few exclusive features to get excited about. The Black Zone is designed to mix up the layout of the map with every match, with random explosions that destroy whole buildings and force you out of cover. Throwable sticky bombs are another new feature exclusive to Karakin, which can be used on a building’s special breach points to help you go on the offensive, or maybe create more lines of sight for a camper.
