Mega Man-inspired roguelite co-op platformer 20XX is getting a sequel, 30XX, launching on PC and consoles some time next year.
When GameSpew reviewed Batterystaple Games’ co-op platformer 20XX, we gave it an outstanding 9/10 score and even suggested that it might be better than the Mega Man titles that inspired it. You can imagine, then, how excited we are to hear that a sequel is on the way.
Blending retro action-platforming with modern roguelike elements, 30XX takes players through vibrant worlds inhabited by fearsome enemies. Much like its predecessor, the game also has a strong emphasis on co-op gameplay. With Nina’s upgraded and highly customizable Power Fusion system and Ace’s chainable abilities working together, this tag team can devastate any enemies that stand in their way.
While we don’t yet have a release date for 30XX, it will be making its hands-on debut at PAX East 2020, from February 27th until March 1st. Check out the reveal trailer below, or head over to the official Steam Store page to get more info or to add the game to your wishlist.
