Nioh’s Saga Closes With Bloodshed’s End DLC on September 26

Nioh has cemented a place among the best of the best this year. On 26 September, Team Ninja asks you once more to draw your blade.
It doesn’t seem like that long ago when Defiant Honor was coming out, but now, over the horizon, the final DLC for Nioh is approaching. I, and many others, have fallen in love with this wonderful game, and so can’t wait to sink my teeth into even more action.
Bloodshed’s End will focus on the end of the Sengoku period, after the the Siege of Osaka. It will aim to close out this story arc, give us another set of things to do, and slam the book shut on William’s journey. Team Ninja hasn’t revealed too much of what’s going to happen, but they said we can expect the usual roundup of missions, enemies, and Guardian Spirits. More content, more fun, more Nioh. Works for me.
Apart from the usual DLC offerings, there will be a new difficulty level and even a new mode. Titled ‘The Abyss’, it sounds like it’ll be a survival-based mode against endless enemies. Team Ninja states, “the strongest warriors can test their skills in a perpetual battleground.” Hey, anything to push more content and replayability into the game is fine by me.
As we prepare for one last battle, I can’t help but think about how well this game has grown. Nioh has truly delivered on all fronts, and continues to be a fantastic game. Hopefully with Bloodshed’s End, gamers will get the proper send off for their devotion to this brilliant title.
How about it? On 26 September, will you by unsheathing your blade once more? I will.
