Top 10 Anticipated Games of 2016

2015 has been an unforgettable year for games. We’ve had Bloodborne, Life is Strange, Fallout 4… surely there’s no way 2016 could come anywhere close? Looking at the anticipated games of 2016, we think it’s going to be even better.

That’s right, 2016 has an epic lineup on offer. Our list doesn’t even scratch the surface of the myriad of amazing games we’ve got to look forward to, but to whet your appetite for the year ahead, here’s our Top 10 Anticipated Games of 2016.

10. Mass Effect Andromeda

e3 2015

Mass Effect 3 may have disappointed fans with its somewhat unsatisfying ending, but that won’t stop them from getting all hot under the collar at the prospect of this new entry in the series.

Set long after the events of the original trilogy, Mass Effect Andromeda is set to start a whole new story and build on the success of its predecessors. Very little is known about the game at present apart from that it will take place in the Andromeda Galaxy, but we can’t imagine the series’ signature gameplay changing too much.

With that in mind, we expect to be happily exploring the darkest recesses of space whilst shooting alien lifeforms in the face sometime again in 2016.

Mass Effect Andromeda is expected in late 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Get your pre-order in at Amazon.

9. Dishonored 2

dishonored 2 Anticipated Games of 2016

Released back in 2012, Dishonored was a surprise hit that introduced us to the mask-wearing Corvo Attano – a man that was equally capable of skulking in the shadows to achieve his goal as he was utilising a wide arsenal of weapons and supernatural powers to achieve the same.

Building on from the success of Dishonored, the sequel is set to once again feature Corvo as he assists the Empress Emily Kaldwin to reclaim her stolen throne. In a nice twist however, the Empress herself is also playable, keeping the experience fresh. The creative gameplay of the original title is set to return, but with each playable character exhibiting their own distinctive traits and skills you’ll have more options than ever.

With its immersive world, interesting powers and engaging story line, Dishonored 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2016.

Dishonored 2 doesn’t have a set release date yet. It’s coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, and you can pre-order now at Amazon
