12 Amazing Games We Never Quite Finished

11. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Gammon: Unlike my American colleague Becca, when I read the first Harry Potter book it had the correct title of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. (Becca rolls eyes dramatically.) There were no sorcerers in this wizarding world, that would be weird. What could be better than reading about this magical world? Playing in this magical world, of course. The graphics were shocking as was the voice acting, but this game had the charm of Hogwarts down to a tee, and they even included Peeves!

That is why I was so disappointed that I suffered one of the worst crimes that can happen to any gamer and that is: a scratched disc. Every time I escaped from that blasted troll in the ladies toilets, Harry would freeze and it would be game over.

12. Pikmin

Becca: Everyone knows about these adorable little guys. I stole the GameCube from my best friend and never gave it back because, on occasion, I still revisit my little blue, red and yellow friends. The game itself was so well done, encouraging you to save every single one of the pikmin on each level because they’re just so darn cute.

Pikmin is one of those games I’ve always meant to go back to and finish but I just l never got around to it. Every time I decide to plug in my GameCube I play three games without a doubt every time: Zelda: Wind Waker, Donkey Konga, and Pikmin. I’ve played the first five or so levels a million times but, in the end, I say goodbye to Captain Olimar and all the pikmin for something else. Sorry buds.
