Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is finally here and with it have come lots of treats for returning fans.
One of them, of course, is the return of the Trodain Togs and Trodain Bandana. Equipment that alters the hero’s clothes to mirror the familiar outfit of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King’s hero, you’ll get them early on in the game. Unfortunately, they quickly became sub-par as you level up.
Luckily, there’s a way to upgrade the Trodain Togs and Bandana to get them back up to snuff. Here’s how!
How to Upgrade the Trodain Togs and Bandana
When you make camp at a campsite, you’ll want to use your fun size forge, the item that allows you to craft and upgrade weapons and equipment in the game. Make sure you keep your original Trodain Togs and Bandana, or else you’ll have nothing to upgrade.
Artisinal Trodain Togs
To upgrade the Trodain Togs, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1 Trodain Togs
- 1 Pep Pop
- 1 Kaleidocloth
Although you’ve already got the Trodain Togs with you, finding a Pep Pop and a Kaleidocloth will be harder to do. Your best bet is to try and farm metal slimes, rare enemies that often carry with them rare ingredients. You can also use the slot machine at the Costa Valor Casino.
Once you’ve found the ingredients, your new Trodain Togs will receive bonuses to its Maximum HP, Defense, Agility, and Charm!
Artisinal Trodain Bandana
To craft the Trodain Bandanna, you’ll need the same ingredients as before:
- 1 Trodain Bandana
- 1 Pep Pop
- 1 Kaleidocloth
The process for getting these is the same as before. It’s best to try to get enough Pep Pops and Kaleidocloths for both pieces of equipment at once.
Once you’ve found the ingredients, your new Trodain Bandana will receive bonuses to its Maximum HP, Defense, Deftness, and Charm!
