Despite checking out Ruaraidh’s brief look at Hello Neighbor‘s AI last year, I’ve not actually been anywhere near this game until now, and I’m quite glad.
Going into Hello Neighbor somewhat blind means that I had no preconceptions as to what the game was, what it did or what it all means. While watching this video may spoil that initial sense of wonder (or fear, as it may be), you’ll be glad to know that I’m terrible at it and don’t stick it for very long – but not because it’s bad.
Come along as I scare the pants off of myself for no apparent reason and come to the conclusion that Hello Neighbor‘s tension comes less from the fact that you’re neighbour (spelling) is a bit weird, and more from the fact the only one demonstrably performing questionable actions… is you.
