Assassin’s Creed and Final Fantasy XV are Joining Forces

No, seriously. What started as an informal mutual patting on the back from the two teams resulted in a collaboration where Final Fantasy XV will pay homage to Assassin’s Creed.

I’ve written a lot about Final Fantasy XV over the past few days – a PC and Mobile edition of the game. Today’s collaboration announcement on the Ubisoft blog reveals that FFXV will receive some Assassin’s Creed lite content starting next week.

I mean, could Mario + Rabbids be the first in a long line of collaborations between Ubisoft and other companies?

Firstly on 30th August, Final Fantasy XV players who have obtained the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival will receive an Assassin outfit.

Then on 31st August Final Fantasy XV receives free DLC, Assassin’s Festival. Lestallum will be the location of the event, and activities will appear for players to participate in. Assassin’s Festival also contains themed items, features, and another Assassin’s Creed outfit. Noctis will also be able to explore using not too dissimilar abilities to those in Assassin’s Creed.

As is the norm these days this announcement comes with a trailer showing off the Assassin’s Festival.

No announcements yet on any FFXV homages in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins, but the announcement makes special mention of its release date.
