Out today if you purchase the Ultimate Edition, State of Decay 2 is the latest zombie survival game to hit Xbox One.
The standard version of the game comes out on Tuesday. And if you’re a Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’ll get to play it at launch as part of your normal subscription. But if you’re on the fence about buying it or if you’re not sure State of Decay 2 is for you, we’ve got 20 minutes of gameplay footage here to help convince you.
In the video below, you’ll see us play through a short segment of the game. There’s plenty of zombie-beating, a fair bit of reckless driving, and lots of exploring and looting.
Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
